Vans Available From Airports:

Vans will be provided by SUNY Potsdam & St. Lawrence University to bring/take conf. participants from/to neary by airports, bus stops, and train stations. The Vans will be available Sun. June 1. and Sat. June 7th.  Ottawa (canada), Montreal(canada), and Massena(NY) are close airports to us.  Also a Greyhound Bus leaves Syracuse airport for Potsdam twice everyday at 9:45am and also 5:00pm.

Directions To Potsdam

 

By Bus:

Greyhound serves Potsdam from the south (Syracuse and Hancock Airport in Syracuse); Albany/NYC, Binghamton, etc. A Greyhound Bus coming from Syracuse to Potsdam will leave Syracuse at 9:30am and also 4:45pm. A bus coming from Syracuse airport leaving at 9:45am and also 5:00pm The bus will arrive in Potsdam at 1:20pm and 8:40pm. Taxis are available at the Potsdam Bus stop. A Greyhound bus will leave Potsdam at 8:10 am and also 1:40 pm seven days a week.

By Air:

The closest major airports are in Ottawa, Montreal, and Syracuse. Also, a commuter air service serves Ogdensburg/Massena several times daily from Pittsburgh. Taxis are available at the Ogdensburg airport. Additional airlines serve Hancock Airport in Syracuse, where Greyhound buses make two daily stops. Commuter air service is also available to Burlington/Plattsburgh (rental cars available) and Saranac Lake.

From Albany: from I87, take exit 23 onto Route 9 through Warrensburg,after approximately 3 miles, take left fork onto Route 28 north (Route 28 eventually turns into Route 28N/30 and late into Route 30 north) from Route 30 at Tupper Lake, turn onto Route 3 west follow Route 3 to Sevey's Corners and turn right onto Route 56 north follow Route 56 approximately 33 miles, the College will be on your right.

From Boston: I-90 to Albany; to I-87; follow above directions from Albany. Or take I-93 to Concord; I-89 to Burlington; ferries or bridge to Plattsburgh or Rt. 11,then follow directions above from Plattsburgh/Burlington. About 7 hours.

From Lake Placid/Saranac Lake/Tupper Lake: Rt. 86 West from Lake Placid to Saranac Lake. Pick up Rt. 3 West to Tupper Lake. After Tupper Lake, turn right onto Rt. 56 at Sevey Corners and proceed to Potsdam. About 1.5 hours.

From Ogdensburg/Prescott:  Rt. 37 South from the International Bridge; Rt. 68 East to Canton; Rt. 11 Northto Potsdam. About 40 minutes.

From Plattsburgh/Burlington:   Rt. 3 West to Rt. 190 (Military Turnpike). Proceed to Rt. 11 at Ellenburg; follow Rt. 11 South to Malone; Rt. 11 or 11B to Potsdam. About 2 hours.

From Syracuse: Rt. 81 North to Watertown. Take Rt. 11 North after Watertown. Rt. 11 North to Potsdam. About 3 hours.

Canadian Cities:

From Montreal:401 west to Cornwall and follow directions below.

From Ottawa, Canada (where Ottawa International Airport is located): Rt. 417 to Rt. 138 south to Cornwall and across the bridge to U.S.A.; from U.S. Customs, Rt. 37 west to Rt. 56 south to Potsdam. About 80 miles, 1.5 hours.
