I hate my Problem Solving class. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I spend an hour and a half in a class utterly worthless to me. I end up in the academic quad until 5:00 in the evening because of this one class. It's not as if my Tuesdays and Thursdays aren't busy enough, what with WAIH, working at the dinning hall, and my other class (which I enjoy), but I have to finish my day with Problem Solving? Yuck.

I dislike this class to such an extent that I am seriously considering not gracing the room with my presence for the rest of the semester (quite a stretch ahead). I've even considered the repercussions of doing such a thing. I figured out that I could completely bomb the class, receiving a 0.0 for a grade, and still stay in an acceptable standing with the school if I get at the very least a 3.0 in all of my other classes (not a problem, looking at my last report card). However, since this is a general education requirement I'd be blowing, that means I'd have to find yet another class in that general education section (I failed Statistics in the Spring of 1999 - I think I became mathematically inept when they changed all the numbers to letters).

Did I mention that I hate general education requirements? If it doesn't apply to my major, don't fucking bother me with it! Grrr...

Remember how thrilled I was when the new single by The Cure ("Maybe Someday") came in to WAIH? (SEE: Tuesday, January 25, 2000.) Well, the entire Bloodflowers album made it's way to my humble little college radio station recently, and since yours truly reviewed the first single, I am now reviewing the whole album.

Robert Smith was not being pretentious when he said that he thought it was The Cure's best effort to date. I like every song on this CD! You mere mortals out there will have to wait six more days to hear it (ah, the perks of college radio and advance music) since the in store release date for Bloodflowers is February 15th, but I highly suggest getting a copy. This is definitely The Cure as The Cure should sound: moody, introspective and at times damn sad. Not a fucking pop song on the whole set!

I just hope the other DJs at WAIH play songs from the album. Aside from Goth #2, they haven't really picked up on the single much. I looked at the logs, and noticed that most of the staff has been playing Charlie in a Box when they have a "Light" spin to fill. I gave Charlie in a Box one spin on my show, and thoroughly hated it. They've also been giving Godsmack a lot of exposure. Nothing against Godsmack, I just think that The Cure is much better.
