I spent some time at WAIH in the morning, then left the station in automation, when I went downtown to visit a friend. It was not a good day to walk from my campus to downtown Potsdam, namely because of the chill that's been hanging around the area for the past few weeks. When I finally got back to my dorm, I could barely feel my fingers, even though I had gloves on. Unlike most people I've seen though, I went for bundling up. Frostbite is not on my agenda for the near future.
Back at the dorm, I found that The Tall Guy had finally returned, as had Goth #1. This brought my spirits up and my mind away from the cold, as I had missed both of them. I think the main reason I had been feeling down for the past two days was because I was on campus, but they weren't. It was very good to see both of them again and hang out.
Classes begin tomorrow. I find myself ready to fall back into the routine of lectures and homework (despite having not much of an affection for either). It's just another fact of life that I face. I'm hoping, as I always do, for competent professors and engaging subject matter. We all know what happens to my GPA when these two requirements are not met. It would also be nice to be in classes with people who aren't constantly telling me that I'm wrong. If I can find myself surrounded by those three elements, all should be well this semester. Time will tell.
