About one month ago, WAIH's newly "repaired" dual CD player smoldered its way right back to the shop. It was just today that we got the player back. Rackmounted, it seems to be all right. Everything is working properly, and there is no sign of fire. I'm still just waiting for The Call though. I bet it'll come when I'm in Hurley's.
Yesterday, I ranted online about the asshole who harassed my friend and I two nights ago. This morning, I ranted on-air (abet, with fewer colorful metaphors and no direct insults). People should really learn not to fuck with someone who has 100 watts behind his voice. Even if he didn't hear it, there's a stigma to being dressed-down to an entire campus (and the surrounding community).
I'm behind on my classwork. I really should try harder to catch up, but something seems to keep getting in the way. Take today, for example. I was needed to reinstall the CD players at WAIH. That meant a trip off campus, and then the additional time of actually installing things. I had planned to work all afternoon, but by the time I had gotten back to my room, I was too tired and uninspired to do anything. I know the excuse may sound lame, and it probably is, but I'm not going to apologize for it, if that's what you're expecting. Things just turn out differently than expected - we all know that happens sometimes. My concern is that things are starting to turn out "differently" on a regular basis. Of course, one could question where I found the time to update this journal, but we'll have to chock that one up to the "implausibility anomaly." I'll make it through however, I always do. Strangely enough, no matter how bad something seems, it's never so bad that I can't get out of, or around it. I wonder if that is someone's very subtle joke on me.
