Harpists at Crane are encouraged to prepare for auditions and have been successful in such competitions as the American Harp Society Competition and ASTA/NSOA, and have gained scholarships to festivals such as Brevard and Aspen. Ruth Bennett (Class of '02) was featured twice with orchestra:as a winner of the Crane Concerto Contest and as a guest soloist with Chamber Orchestra Kremlin where her performance of Debussy's Danse sacrée et danse profane received a standing ovation. |
