World Trade Center Stories
Thank you for your interest in our study. This study involved participants telling the story of their experiences regarding the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001, as well as answering some questions about their feelings and some general demographic questions. We have previously conducted several studies that were similar to this one, though they tended to involve separate events that took place in different people's lives. For example, we have studied people's stories of anger, guilt, and unrequited love.
The current situation is unique in that most of the people in the United States and around the world have experienced this event, though we all haven't had the exact same experience. Our purpose here is to try to better understand how people respond to events of this magnitude.
The data collection portion of the study is now complete. Please check back for updates as we analyze the data.
Thank you again for your interest.
