Hang out at these sites and you're sure to come off like an intellectual. I suppose these links could be the cyber-equivalent to a folded copy of the New York Times sitting on your table at Arabica's. Now, pass the scones, please. Anybody up for a game of Go?

• Thank God for NPR. The thinking person's oasis in the vast radio wasteland.
  
  
• Take heart ... there are any number of intellectual pursuits available on the web. For instance, there is the Chronicle of Higher Education, not to mention the New York Times, the Village Voice the Utne Reader and the Atlantic Monthly. Who said that the Internet was mostly porn sites?
  
  
• If books are more your style, you might want to visit Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com, not to mention your local library!
  
  
• How about art? You might try the Cleveland Museum of Art or perhaps the Museum of Modern Art sites for starters.
  
  
  
• Although they're technically television (gasp!) the Discovery Channel and PBS deserve a mention here as well.
