Joining Requirements

Sophomores

• Be majoring in mathematics or plan to major in mathematics.

• Complete at least three graded courses (including one semester of Calculus).

• Have a 4.0 GPA in mathematic courses taken

• Have an overall GPA of 3.25.

Juniors and Seniors

• Be majoring in mathematics

• Complete at least four courses for their mathematics major

• Have a 3.25 GPA in mathemtaics courses taken

• Have an overall GPA of 3.0 (see * below)

Graduate Students

• Complete the equivalent of an undergraduate mathematics major

• Have a 3.25 GPA in their mathematics courses taken

*Transfer Students (in addition to regular requirements)

• Complete 45 credit hours at SUNY Potsdam

• Need not include transfer grades, but may if it will help GPA
