Where do I  currently reside: Florida

What I am doing currently: Currently living in              South I'm a professional musician and teacher, making great use of the Oboe Performance degrees I got at Crane and at FSU! I'm Principal Oboist of three regional orchestras from Niceville to Biloxi and I play English horn in a fourth. In addition to this, I have a private oboe studio of over seventeen students and teach a full load of on-line Music Appreciation classes at Pensacola Junior College.
I also actively compose and the past two years have seen several world premieres of my music by many well-respected regional arts organizations...
including my own oboe concerto with the Pensacola
Symphony Orchestra! (Making that a solo and
compositional debut!)
In terms of family, I'm engaged to one Amy Raines, an Occupational Therapist and a recent divorcee with two beautiful daughters, Sarah(6) and Kathryn(2). Our wedding is set for next summer... tentaively June 6th, 2009.
Memorable stories from my  times at Theta Iota:
Back when I was Historian (and I was Historian for three semesters in a row), I'd say that one of the
most well-known was the introduction of "Stony Cam." Basically, it was me walking around some of our rowdier parties (in the famous Lehman Suite and in the House) with a VHS camcorder and filming away. It was hysterical to watch it later... usually at another such party. Of course, that's no big deal anymore thanks to digital camcorders, My Space, and You Tube... but Stony Cam happened back in the late '90s.
I also made it a point to videotape each and every
Brother recital that took place during my tenure as
Historian... and I tried to get as many as I could
even after that time.
Speaking of recitals, my very first Crane recital
experience was on Brother Steve Zumchack's half-hour recital and we performed seven of Vaughan William's "Ten Blake Songs." What made that extra special was that that recital was deliberately scheduled to happen during the Province     Workshop we were hosting and so a multitude of Brothers from all over Province 17 were there! Not only that, but that night saw my initiation
as a full Sinfonian! Not anything I'd ever forget! I
used to wear a lot of black in those days... but I
wasn't a goth kid (promise)!
