I see most found the pattern for the 3 by 3: 1 + 4 + 9 = 14,

Also recall 4 = 2x2, 9 = 3x3?

So for the 4 by 4 you get: 1 + 4 + 9 + ? = ??

and so on and so on ???

What did you get for the 5 by 5? – and the 10 by 10??
