PUZZLE #43 A cup
of water, please. Nov.26-30
Moria
is working in the water booth at the Fair to make some extra money.
She
has a large bucket of ice water to dip out the water and cups of sizes 10oz., 12oz.,
and 14oz. Her boss is very particular, so she has to be sure to fill the cups
to the top.
When
a large group of people come to the booth and all want the 12oz. size cup, she discovers
that they are all out of that size. Before she panics, she realizes that she
can measure out EXACTLY 12oz. in a 14oz. cup using a combination of the 10oz.
and 14oz. cups together.
How
does she do it?
