PUZZLE #22(Rev.)
How to make money? Mar. 12
– Mar. 16
An
antiques/collectables dealer named Murray found an old plate one day which he
thought might be a good seller.
He
only paid $5 for it, but then he got cold feet and turned around and sold it
the same day to another collector for $6.
The
next day he changed his mind and bought it back, but he had to pay $7. However,
it turned out that it did not sell at the price that he wanted, so he finally
discounted it and sold it to a little old lady for $8.
What
was the total amount of money that he made on this plate from these two
transactions?
