"It is the first program in New York City of its kind," says Daniel Hidalgo, of Saint Jude. He explains that the program is geared toward business and professional people who live in the metropolitan New York City area and can't leave their homes, work, and family obligations for six weeks to attend a Saint Jude retreat in Upstate New York.
The 25-session program uses an office setting in Manhattan where participants receive one-on-one instruction on how to gain freedom from alcohol and drug issues and rebuild their lives.
Saint Jude's is a non-religious, non-12-step, non-disease approach to solving alcohol and drug problems.
The Saint Jude Program can be used in conjunction with or instead of the online Saint Jude Retreats program. It is completely confidential and there are no attendance records kept, because it is a non-medical, private educational program.
