Drinking Alcohol and Fatty Liver Disease
The frequent and moderate consumption of alcohol has been found associated with a reduced risk of fatty liver disease.
The large study of men in Japan found that moderate drinkiners were also less likely to be obese than were non-drinkers or abstainers. Both obesity and metabolic abnormalities were associated with increased prevalence of fatty liver disease.
