Underage Drinking “Can’t be Stopped”
Ending underage drinking is unattainable, a Scots health minister has acknowledged. Deputy Health Minister Tom McCabe of Scotland asserted that a more realistic goal is to help young persons drink safely.
The announcement was made as the Scottish Executive unveiled a guide to help parents discuss drinking with their children.
The health leader said “ideally we’d like an end to under-age drinking in Scotland but a more realistic goal is to help youngsters understand the risks and keep safe when they drink.”
