Museum of the American Cocktail Now Open

The non-profit Museum of the American Cocktail has opened in New Orleans. The new tourist attraction contains an extensive collection of Prohibition-era literature and music, vintage cocktail shakers, glassware, drink archives, tools, gadgets, cocktail memorabilia, rare books, and photographs. Multimedia presentations bring the cocktails history even more to life with film clips, interactive displays, songs, and sounds

The museum is located in the Pharmacy Museum, a 19th-century building at 514 Chartes Street in the French Quarter of the city.
