A young businessperson in Britain has started a website to help people find friends with whom they can socialize and drink.
Mark Payne came up with his idea after moving to a new town and realizing that all his friends were 50 miles away.
Since starting his service, hundreds of people have registered at the website. One user said that "when I moved to Devon I didn’t know anyone. It was difficult to socialize and I wanted to meet people.” He found Mr. Payne’s website the perfect solution.
The success of the website is consistent with research that socializing is a major reason people choose to drink.
