Most People Responsible with Alcohol

The overwhelming majority of people in the U.S. treat alcohol responsibly, according to data presented by the U.S. Department of Justice report, Drinking in America: Myths, Realities, and Prevention Policy.

Data collected by the government's National Household Survey also make it clear that only a small minority of Americans often drink heavily.

The government report also confirms that the majority of young adults under the age of 21 don't consume any alcohol in a typical month.
