Center on Alcohol Marketing & Youth (CAMY) & “Binge Drinking” Trends

The Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY) released a report asserting that the proportion of young women (“girls”) who are so-called binge drinkers (i.e., they sometimes consume four or more drinks on an occasion) is increasing.

In reality, the proportion of young women who ”binge drink” is actually decreasing. That’s according to the federal government’s Monitoring the Future nation-wide surveys.

CAMY hasn’t issued a retraction.
