PAPILLARY THYROID CANCER IN WOMEN
A study of 410 women with papillary thyroid cancer compared to 574 women without such cancer found that consuming alcohol reduced the risk of developing the disease. Investigators also explored possible ways in which alcohol acts to reduce incidence of the cancer.
The research was published in the the medical journal Epidemiology.
