Alpha Delta Kappa History
Alpha Delta Kappa with colors purple and white,
was originally founded as a literary society in 1886. In 1929, we gained
statewide affiliation as the Kappa Chapter of the Alpha Delta Sorority, and
our members include girls from SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University.
Located at 46 Elm Street,
Alpha is now a social sorority that takes an active role in Greek life, the
community, and school events. These events include Derby Days, Greek Week,
Parents Weekend, Alumni Weekend, Halloween fire
truck rides for kids, community dinners, and fundraising for Renewal House.
Alpha's individuality is the key to our membership. We host a wide
variety of girls from very different walks of life. We have found strength
in our individuality by turning our differences into a unique
representation of idea and personalities.
