Lower Your Heart Attack Risk

In his “5 Little-Known Ways to Lower Heart Attack Risk,” Dr. Michael Mogadam of the George Washington University School of Medicine urges people to “choose heart-healthy beverages. The heart-protective benefits of alcohol have been well-established. When consumed in moderation (one glass daily for women and no more than two glasses daily for men), wine, beer and mixed drinks reduce CAD (coronary artery disease) by 30%.”

Dr. Mogadam is author of the book Every Heart Attack is Preventable: How to Take Control of the 20 Risk Factors and Save Your Life.
