Charity Events and Fundraisers

The Vice President, working in conjunction with the Alumnae Secretary and the Alumnae Committee, has developed a new fundraiser for Alpha. Modeled after efforts of other Greek houses, this fundraiser involves the donations of our alumnae. An "Alpha" donation is up to $50; a "Delta" donation is from $50 to $100; and a "Kappa" donation is $100 or more. All contributors are officially acknowledged and thanked in our alumnae newsletter, and all Kappa contributors are sent a letter of thanks from the President of Potsdam State. Because all proceeds are kept in an account opened through the school, Potsdam State contributes money for every dollar put in the account. So the amount of money Alpha makes is actually greater than the amount contributed by alumnae - that works nicely, doesn't it?
