Dr.
Reames is an Associate Professor
of Music in The Crane School of Music
where she conducts two choirs (Concert
Choir and Phoenix Club) and teaches
courses in music education and conducting.
Dr. Reames recently received the SUNY
Potsdam President's Award for "Excellence
in Teaching". An active clinician,
she has conducted festival ensembles
in numerous states, has presented choral
interest sessions at regional and national
music conferences, and has papers published
in the Southeastern Journal of Music
Education and the Choral Journal. A
native of Virginia, she taught middle
school and high school in Northern
Virginia for over fifteen years before
returning to Florida State University
where she received the Ph.D. in Music
Education/Choral Conducting. Prior
to moving to upstate New York , she
taught at The University of Georgia.
Dr. Reames was the 2003-2005 New York
State ACDA President.
